My Favourite Blue Paint

My favourite colour in interiors is blue. Always has been, always will be.

There are so many beautiful new shades of blue paint that have been released recently that I thought I would put together the best ones to show you.

The elegance of the colour below from Paint and Paper Library is just divine. When used in the same scheme as that brown velvet it just looks so rich and buttery!

Then there is Ultra Marine from Little Greene (two below). It is based on the old-school paint from about 100 years ago when they used to crush pure Lapis-lazuli to make the paint.

How amazing does the kitchen look in navy blue from Little Greene? I love the monochrome look while still having a touch of colour to it. (I also really love the styling with earthenware crockery- another favourite in interiors for me). It makes a real impact to paint your cabinetry and walls in the same colour- breaking it up with the white tiles!

Which one is your favourite?

Trend: Midnight Garden

Trend_Midnight Garden

Hi All!

Long time no speak! I’m sorry I’ve been out of touch, but I have been shooting a high street catalogue which has kept me very busy for the last month straight.

I’m also due to have a baby in just under four weeks time so my energy levels have been lower than usual. I’m now taking a break for a few months until after the baby is born so…more time for blogging!

Today, I’m featuring a trend that has emerged that I’m calling Midnight Garden. Lots of lovely plum colours, rich burgundys, red and purples. I have to say that historically purple hasn’t been my favourite shade but the new twist on it when it’s mixed with black, green and blue is DIVINE!

I think the scheme above with the cushions, the hand-blown glass pendant light (I’d use two of them hanging down either side of the bed as bedside lights) and the rug would make the perfect design scheme for the bedroom.

If you fancy any items above then check out the credits below.

Have a fab week, peeps,

Lx
